So, we've been chilling out in EH since Thanksgiving and while the farmhouse is a tad cold and drafty, we've had a stream of lovely guests who we are so thankful for. We also decided to eschew a real tree (oh, the blasphemy) for a twinkly, faux white one that's very Art Deco and done in purple and silver. Ava adores it, so that's what we went with. When I took her to school today to celebrate her school birthday, I (once again) started sobbing after I left. What is wrong with me? The holidays make me extraordinarily happy and sometimes I am overwhelmed with the good tears. Christmas of 2005 and 2006 were not peaceful and I am so thoroughly excited this year. Be well.
