Hi. I just picked it up today from a library here in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I read it all tonight - well-written and of course horrifying. I hope the media you get is positive. Honestly though, I hope you don't go on Oprah - nothing seems very genuine on there and I don't think Oprah really cares about her guests - it's all about rating.

Is it true that our planet will be renamed "Oprah?"

Picked it up after your appearance on Today. Just finished it this morning. I cried....I am the mother of a teen survivor....I just wish I knew how to help her heal. Thank you for sharing your story...I still am not sure if it is best ro me to encourage her to read it or not.

Hi Liz,
I also saw you on "Today" and I was also "First year" at UVA in 1984. I think I may have known you. Did you live in "Courtney Dorm"? My name is Tim. I was a basketball player that lived upstairs from a girl named Liz in Courtney.

Anyway, you are an inspiration and you should be very proud that you have used something so horrible to help others. God Bless You.

liz, at the booksigning you said that you understood the reasons or rationale for having a statute of limitations for felony rape that the majority of states have.

what specifically are those reasons or rationale?

Hi Liz, I am almost finished with your book. I applaud your courage to come forward. You are helping many people (men and women) who are raped each year. The book is refreshingly honest and authentic and I respect you for speaking the truth and not backing down.

I read your book in a day. My daughter is a sexual assault survivor. She, too, was assaulted on a college campus. She's moved on, but I struggle with a need for justice. She is in law school--and, I believe that education is her way of dealing with the injustice of society's attitudes towards women who are raped.
Thank you for sharing your story. You are making a difference.
