Seriously, what is it about blenders?

So, in the depth of my ONE DAY of sadness/ennui, I am trying to make a smoothie this morning. Without going into the mind-numbing detail, let's just say said blender broke, then I fixed it, then I broke it again. Pureed blueberries are a BITCH to get out of just about anything, especially kitchen counters.



Seriously, I've tried every brand. All fabulous - Cuisinart, KitchenAid, Krups - all lovely brushed stainless and they freaking break like every week! Over smoothies! I am not spinning rocks around in there. Today's casualty was a Waring:







If anyone has a blender tip, pass it on. I hate going to Jamba Juice. But if Jamba Juice wanted to give me, say, a lifetime of smoothies, kind of like Jennifer Hudson got a lifetime of Burger King after she slammed them in the press, then I am in!
