UConn has a problem - PR guress Karen Gravas is very eloquent.

So, there have been two recent rapes at University of Connecticut in Storrs - who knows if they are related. In one, a student has indeed been arrested in the rape of another student. In another, there's no suspects, just a description of a "college aged male, medium height and thin build".

Spin, spin, spin - University spokeswoman Karen Gravas assures how seriously they take crime, blah blah blah. She talks about policies and whatnot. Also, UConn says Cirillo "received an interim suspension until the UNIVERSITY DECIDES on disciplinary action". Oh, okay. Never mind the, um, laws against rape. Let's let UConn decide! Nothing has changed!

Here's to hoping that perhaps, this early in the school year, colleges will take what I do seriously, empty their pockets and have me or another qualified speaker over there since the rape rate in the first semester is much higher.
