It's been a long time and I feel so guilty...lots to cover. Thanks for the support and the messages. We're doing really well thanks to all the help from our extraordinary baby nurse and lots of friends.

first of all, welcome back!
re spitzer: first let me say that, as a staunch civil libertarian, i believe that prostitution should be decriminalized. whatever sexual behavior mutually consenting adults want to engage in should be not be the govt.'s or criminal justice system's business, other than to regulate and tax!
but as long as prostitution *is* illegal, then the "johns" should be prosecuted just as the prostitutes are, and to decision to not prosecute spitzer is not only a *sexist* double standard, but also a double standard between the wealthy and powerful and everyone else!
