UPDATE: While much is being made of Fred & Kim Goldman's statements outside the Court, I do believe they are germane to this case. We all know Mr. Simpson was acquitted of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. Mr. Simpson was hiding assets in Vegas so as hide from the Goldmans what they were awarded in the wrongful death suit against Simpson so, yes, it matters. Yale Galanter - who feels their presence was unwarranted at sentencing - needs to zip it when it comes to these folks. Justice is for the victim and the victims' families. It sometimes does not matter in which form it comes or how late.

it's taken 14 years, but justice finally prevailed yesterday. granted, it's not the same as meting out justice for a grisly double murder, but it's better than nothing i suppose.
ron goldman's father and sister were in the courtroom yesterday when the verdict was read, and mr. goldman issued a statement afterward. i hope the verdict brings both the goldman and brown families some measure of peace of mind and satisfaction.
having said all that, my heart does go out to OJ's family, who, in a manner of speaking, are also innocent victims of OJ's crimes.
