Ava, the artist, makes the world a better place.

Oh, how I hate dealing with a case that's over and still going on in some ways, so I am shifting focus to rainbows, unicorns and chocolate truffles. So, yes, writing the book, but otherwise leading a normal life as a working mom and redecorating "the bunker" as we affectionately call our little safe house. As I cannot show any photos of Ava - thank you Pat, security guy/pal/confidante for that sage advice - I'll show you all a bit of a happy four-year-old's artwork and how it puts things into great perspective. I am so proud of her. You cannot see the back, but it says "A picture for mama by Ava love Ava".

She envisions herself on a purple surfboard, her mama on a red and pink surfboard (all true) and her dad on a surfboard (never gonna happen). The large red thing is a plane. It's so perfect. I particularly like that we all have very "sparkly" hands and feet.

Enjoy your time with your children today - they are such treasures. And Ava, I cannot wait for you to get home from school! xo Mama
