What is wrong with judges?

I'll link to this later (am traveling), but basically, the Judge who sentenced Alex Kelly wants him to volunteer at a center for sexual assault victims, specifically, the one that treats me. Are you kidding? That's as bad as the Judge in my case telling Beebe he should be educating college students about alcohol and sexual assault.

I cannot imagine the fright anyone would feel walking into one's counseling center and seeing Alex Kelly at the photocopier. All of this "restorative justice" mumbo-jumbo just does not apply in this instance. For the record, I spoke with Mr. Kelly's one-time defense attorney the other day and even he was surprised they were letting him out this early. This early? Eight years. I could only hope - he and Beebe can go back on the lam to Sweden and drink some glog for the holidays, toasting their freedom. They are cut from the same cloth - overprivileged, aging preppies who took what they wanted with no thought of consequence.

Put me in a room with Alex Kelly - love to know why this narcisstic, wealthy, prepster did what he did to Adrienne and her friend. I kid. I'm completely chickensh*t and could never do it. Intriguing, but cannot. Hopefully, this Judge won't see to it that I run into him. That would be terrible for anyone trying to heal, having the most infamous rapist in our area walking amongst victims.

Mr. Kelly is scheduled for release between November 16 and 23, 2007.
