Please feel free to check it out and a huge thanks to Brian French of Web Star Development for developing it for us after our last web designer totally defrauded us and 36 other customers! Brian saw our story on the wire and wanted to donate his time and expertise and we are humbled by his graciousness and kindness!
I've said this all along - rape is not a womens' issue - it's a human rights issue and a crisis. Just this last week, three different people I've come to know via work or school came to me with stories of rape affecting their families. It's shocking how common and how society glosses it over. We have the right to protect ourselves from such devastation. STARS came about because of the sheer number of people who need our help and our funding. If everyone who saw my story gave even one dollar, we would be making a huge impact in this confusing, dark place.
The site has resources for victims and their families, an area where you can request grants if you are a qualified 501 (c) (3) non-profit, a place to talk back and tell us what you think. Most of all, it's a safe space for those whose lives are affected by this plague.
The site is here - thanks for visiting!

Liz,
I work at the District Attorney's Office here in San Diego, and will notify the head of the Sex Crimes and Stalking Division about STARS.
Mario
Thank you Mario! It is our hope that with Beebe's release later this week, we can help other victims of sex crimes and stalking, both male and female. The resource page is the first line of defense!
