Apparently, living in Georgia, in the United States and murdering your own daughter is just fine if you're Pakistani where honor killing is just a-ok. When will people realize that religious and cultural freedoms do not trump the law? In addition to Chaundhry Rashid, I'm looking at you, Warren Jeffs and your ilk.
This terrible dad is playing the "mournful, somber and tearful" card and telling authorities his daughter is dead, so he doesn't feel like speaking to them. Can you imagine if we pulled that shit? This is a human rights issue, like rape, like female circumcision, like hunger, like dowry killings. Wake up, Courts of Law. The family has a Pakistani spokesperson, telling the world how stressed the family was over the now murdered daughter's desire to divorce her arranged husband, who lives in Chicago.
Thoughts? Once again, neighbors describe them as "decent, quiet, lovely people". Where was the mom?
