I had not gotten around to my daily review of the HuffPo, a favorite blog of mine. Seems like John McCain's rape joke of the 1980s was making the rounds today - no doubt the opposition's way to reinforce McCain's complete out of touchedness (new word), even as a pepaw over 25 years ago and to highlight his complete uncouthness. He needs to drop the schtick - seriously, I have concerns about his mental health, given his POW experience. I feel as though he ate the whole bowl of crazy. Mr. Notranting won't vote for Obama because of the tax issues and I am so very over Michelle, but she's not running for President. I hear him, given our tax bracket, but seriously, what am I left with now? Cindy best get back on those painkillers.
Now, you know I don't do politics here, but between McCain's feeble attempts at humor (which to me belie a real sense of cluelessness at best and social rape acceptance like our "anonymous" poster earlier today on the JFK, Jr. posting at worst), it is clear that anyone offended by this should follow this link and register your complaint to the nice folks at R.A.I.N.N. Address it to Scott Berkowitz or Kate Hull.
I understand tons of people will say "oh, it was so long ago". You know what? That's just another way of saying it's cool. Thanks, Mario!

Thank you Mario as well. I read about this and was incensed. I will not vote for him now. I read about this story on line and refused.
I also read he made a very obnoxious crack- something about the retirement community and lesirue world being seizure world. I am not only a rape survivor but I am aslo epileptic. In November of 2007, I collapsed on the street of Grand Mal seizure outside of my office and severly damaged several of my teeth. One that had to be extracted and just got the implant on Wednesday and spent 3 days in bed. The pain I was in and still in is no joke. I had no idea he could be so cruel. I was shocked, actually. Obama for Prez. And I am one DIE HARD REPUBLICAN.
