"Taking another look" at the Yale Suzanne Jovin 1998 murder.

I am continually shocked at what passes for a "fresh look" at what is seemingly basic information in a cold case. Today comes the news that cops and authorities are "reexamining" an email (a "possible clue", they call it) that murder victim, Yale coed Suzanne Jovin, sent less than 17 hours prior to being found dead. Also, was there DNA at the scene?

Is it me, or would this last email be the central focus of the investigation over 10 years ago? I'm telling you, if you are a crime victim or the loved one of a victim, you must advocate for yourself and push harder on the authorities or not much gets done. I am so grateful to my team of experts, but you gotta push.

Here's to hoping that the renewed publicity will somehow unearth the killer of this lovely college student so that her family may know what happened to her. Of course, Yale University just wanted the controversy to go away.

UPDATE: Here is a very interesting blog post from blogger "Killtown" about the case and the main suspect, her thesis adviser. Hmm....
