This is appalling - radio host Michael Savage claims that most autistic children are simply the product of bad parenting. He can go on tour with Rush Limbaugh for Parkinson's, John McCain for rape, etc. I have many friends with autistic children and nothing is more admirable than to see these children excelling with their lives despite a devastating range of symptoms.
Perhaps he should go hang out with John Travolta and Kelly Preston, who also deny its existence. How disgusting for parents of affected children to have to hear this. Well, if a tree falls in a forest.....

savage is a disgusting rightwing wacko neanderthal, but what is disturbing is that he obviously has a following that is sufficient to keep him on the air, as does, of course, limbaugh! what does that say about our society?
