This little gem is tragic but just shows the depth of stupidity in this country. That this mother would blame the child's grandmother for her own injuries and defend her truant son is beyond. By the way, I have a five year old and I'm not trying to judge, but...she doesn't have a lighter, nor is she capable of calling 911 to say granny is "dead". Five? Really? If this mom came clean and said she was a bad parent or perhaps he had an anger issue, I'd buy it. But, basically, "you'd do that too if you coudn't go to the park"? Come on.
When someone says "...but", it's usually because that is exactly what they're trying to say. So, I sound judgemental here.
